American Hunter magazine just did an article on ATVs and it comes down to what you want out of one. Do you want it for crawling around on a hunt, getting to that fishing hole, working on a farm or feed plot? Basically, each manufacturer make a quality product. I'm hoping to buy an ATV in the next year and I'm going to go with the Arctic Cat, probably a 400 or 500 4WD. Arctic Cat has a rack system that you can customize to your wants and needs, their 4WD system is good and their engines are strong. Do some research and find one that will fit your needs.

I have a Bombardier Traxter. It's powerful, stable and built like a tank. It's NOT the most nimble or sporty feeling ride out there. Refer to the "what do you drive" thread for a pic.

I've seen many hondas that have gotten treated very badly and are still in fine working order. I prefer my Honda 300 96' Fourtrax. Hondas seem to be of very high quality.

Wahnie....want more power?
Look into the new Polaris Sportsman 800.
Yup that's right 800.
According to the website it is actually smaller than the 500 model. Only by a fraction of an inch, personally I think someone needs to re-calibrate their tape measure. All the Polaris Sportsman models look just about identical to me

I just purchased a brand new kawasaki and I hate it!!!! I have had Honda's before and should have gone back to them. It is the worst purchase I have ever made. The list of things I dont like about it are a mile long and my blood preasure gets to high when I start talking about it. Dont make the same mistake I did

All depends on where you are trying to go and how far, but I chose a electric golf cart, between $2500-3500. goes in the mud and up hills 7" of ground clearance and hauls me and the kids. or 4 adults. Tons of accesories avaible for them

I really like the Suziki Vinson 500 because of the ease of operation and it is very easy to operate. It has plenty of power when you need it.I love the push button 4WD and the it also being an automatic. It is also the best 500 cc ATV on the market by ATV Magazine and ATV Television.I haven't had any problems with my Vinson and I've had mine for 2 years.
Good luck

I just got a Honda Recon 250. I would rather have the light weight (400 pounds) than 4 wheel drive + money issue. 2 wheel drive is fine in Arizona, "it never snows". I just got it Saturday.

It all depends on what you want to do with them. What works for one maybe usless for others.
Here are some pics of what I use mine for:

I hate it when drunken Elk and Moose get behind the wheel of an Argo and have to be shot after the pursuit!

It's never a pretty sight is it? We had a bear try the same thing last spring but he was more interested in the bait in the back then actually driving.

I have a Polaris 500 and my Nephew has a Honda 500. Mine rides better, his handles better, they both will do most anything we ask of them. My brother has a Honda 400 and has no complaints with his, they are all 4x4.
