Some buddies and my self are looking for a Quebec Caribou hunt in the 2005 hunting season. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with some outfiters they have used or know of. I am looking for a high sucess rate and a hunt that would probably cost under or around 2000. Thanks in advance for the help

check out semi-guided or minimal guided hunts.
they can point you in the right direction and it's alot cheaper. if you have the glass and a long shooter you will do fine.
tha cariboo there are constently on the move, just hunt the migration routes. had some freinds go up to schefferville and they all tagged out.

Sandi and hunted with Jack Hume Adventures (http://www.jackhumeadventures.com/home.html)
We had a great time and saw a ton of caribou. A fellow from Florida shot a 381 with his bow while we were there. they run a great outfit and we highly recomend them.

here's a few. try hunting carribou in quebec. there is a lot of outfitters. schefferville and canipiscau are really good ares. canipiscau has some astounding lake trout fishing which is usually included in the hunt.

If you need to stick to $2000 or less I would recomend a winter hunt. you will not be able to find a quality fly in fall hunt for that price. The winter hunt you drive up to the hunting area and you also drive from camp to the hunting areas. I just got back from my winter hunt. in three days I probably saw more than 20,000 Caribou. The problem with the winter hunt is that some of the large bulls start losing their antlers by the start of the hunt. by Dec 10th almost 90% will be bald. I huntened Nov. 26 -29 and saw alot of large bald bulls but I also saw 1000 plus large bulls that still had full head gear and several thousand more mid size bulls. If you want an afordable hunt that allows you to several thousand animals I would recomend the winter hunt. The biggest down fall is the drive. you are probably looking at a 30 hr drive. If you would like more info please let me know.
