ive told u before that i like the pointed better than match. I think that pointed shoots better for my gun than match do. IU also like predator pellets and lead bbs for the same reason. these three types of pellets have plenty of power to seem to take down most small animals such as squirrels and chipmunks. In fact u shot your fox with a pointed pellet. This is the pic of your fox

your welcome trav. i just had to show everyone what pointed pellets can kill. Do you have any pics of any game that size that was shot with match pellets? If so I would like to see them.

Hey BMP....Ya know the first thing he had to do was get the deer! that was before baiting the coyote so he could shoot it with a match pellet. Where the deer? where the bait...where the coyote??:D :D

I have two names for this website one being td0g900 and the other one being eider. I did kill two deer this year and just cannot simply seam to get the coyotes to come into range and after a bad snowstorm like the one we just had its awfuly difficult to move around in the woods

Depends on what your gun likes and how fast it shoot. My RWS .17 cal springers both shot best with Meisterkugel, a wadcutter target pellet by RWS. Since both are around 1000 fps, killing small game is not a problem. I get the benefit of shock delivered by the flat point, more than adequate penetration plus accuracy. Ff I'm shooting at somthing that will require penetration, then the pointed, heavier pellets get the nod. But they are not as accutrate in my guns.

It all depends on where you hit. if you go for head shots the match pellet will do the job well because it will knock out or kill the target. if you aim for a heart or lung(vital shots) use pointed

Wadcutter pellets are fast, accurate, and powerful. The word match means they are made for match grade accuracy. This combines speed, and good rifling grip. Their best effectivness is at a close range- under 20 yards. After that range, the pointed pellet takes over. It will have a smaller drop at those long ranges, has more speed, and also retains its energy over further ranges than a wadcutter. I myself would take the pointed pellet for its all around possibilities, and capabilities. It instantly cripples rabbits- real fun.

i used to shoot easter gray squirls with a medalist hand gun with the stock attatchment. it was under 500 fps and if you've never see a grey squirl they are over 3x the size of these red's here in the west. they are quite wylie and seem to climb up the biggest tree and hug the top of the branch only offering the worst of shots so you got to make em' count, and talk about tuff lil critters. we had lots of fun with the old medalist.

Nice fox,I could not see what type of air gun you used to shoot the fox with. Was it a Beemans R9?And was it a 177 or a 22 cal.Is it a cocked barrel or lever action.Or is it an RWS air gun.
I used to shoot an Benjamin air rifle pump, and I really liked it.But as years went buy the rubber wore out in the cylenders and the gun didn/t shoot as well so I sold it,not knowing that I could have replaced the rubber in the cylenders.I used to shoot rabbits and squirles with it.I plan to buy an other air rifle and I liked the one you shoot, thats why I asked all the qustions.Any info you can give me will be a great help.

Good Hunting.

My gun is low speed so I like the penetration of pointed.
