What is the highest velocity 22lr? I have always used the Remington Yellowjackets, but Im sure there is something more.....

Not the most accurate, thats a gun to gun thing, but fastest.

Thanks
Andy

Aguila Super Max I believe. Reportedly 1750 fps.

Yellowjackets are around 1500 fps iffin I'm not mistaken.

i thought CCI stingers were the fastest with CCI velociters following behind them

Aquila claims to be 1750 but stingers are about 1650. I have always had better experiances with stingers.

The Aquila may be the fastest, but nothing can touch the velocity of the Velocitor WITH A FULL 40-GR BULLET.

Those lightweight slugs slow down like a ping-pong ball. So muzzle velocity doesn't men much unless you're shooting at your own toes.

The Velocitor has more retained velocity at all ranges past about 40 yards (if I recall the CCI numbers). I can vouch for the way it smacks things. I once used the simile that it hits like a wet towel. A knotted one.

i have used both the stingers and velociters. never pushd any other high velocity ammo.

from what ive seen the velociters and stingers made my rifle dang near a 100yd rig with my zero at 50yds. wich is pretty good. and both are acurate. out of the rifle.

velocitors got my vote for high velocity and accurate .22lr.

Stinger shoot to a totally different POI in most of my guns and in a lot of other people guns that I have talked to. I guess the lighter bullet changes where it hits.

i havent checkd balistic but buy shooting standerd 22lr and stiners it seems the stiner is probly the flattest shooting 22lr round ive ever fired.

with the standcerd stuff punchn dead on at 50yds the stinger is shootin way above them. id guess like 6"s higher

I believe the speed was the original question.

Speed is what I want to know. Dont care about flat, retention, or anything else. Just flat out speed. Wont be fired over a few feet.

Thanks for the replies all.....
