Went out again this AM...just a bit colder(ya think??) than it was on Friday and Saturday. Blowing pretty hard too. Hard to keep the decoys upright. First goose after 10 mins 15 yds and 10 ft. next was a goose that swung the edge and my friend Larry shot him at pretty long range,,maybe 50 yds in heavy wind. Hevi Shot did it right(course he is a GREAT shot). Had a toll of 4...3 did it right and stayed DRT. Had two more singles and we started seeing loads of birds trying to work us...but just too many to shoot. groups of 50-100 so we packed it up and let it go till tomorrow or Wednesday. Lots of new geese in the area. Still a LOT of fun to get 'em to work in close and in your face. . We have shot more than a 100 geese out of this pit so far this season and never used more than 60 decoys..usually no more than 36 so we must be doing something right:D :D
