700 Mountain rifle magazine

Can a 700 Mountain rifle with detachable magazine be converted to a blind mag or hinged floor plate?

Not easily if at all. Need a new stock floorplate etc at the very least

Possibly even weld and shape the guide rails too

It might be a good idea to contact Remington Customer Service and pose that question. In the end, it might be easier and less costly to trade the rifle on one with a blind magazine or a hinged floorplate. All the best...

Its really your choice, so don't think I am nuts, but I am just curious as to why.
