Adam,
When I was in a gun shop last Saturday, I saw a Lyman GPR .50 flintlock that was on the used rack and appeared to be unfired. The previous owner installed some bright brass tacks in a design on the buttstock. At first it was hard to judge the workmanship and form an opinion. I thought about it and this evening picked up the rifle. Of course, I told the shop owner the tacks were not to my liking and he shaved the hang tag price.
The rifle has been cleaned and got boiled linseed oil on the stock and looks great. When I come to visit your woodlot and half-faced camp I will have the proper rifle. No it is not for sale. All the best...
