What a load of garbage.

Does it matter if it is "suitable for hunting or sporting use" in Canada?
What does it reaelly matter? I think that if I feel the need to own one I should darn well be able to own one! Just a matter of time before history repeats itself and we are all disarmed.......then what?

i know that the major reason for this is the mark lepine assault on the university of Mtl but he could have used any gun. we can't let them take the mini away cause that will only be the begining. we here in canada need a spokes person like the spokesmen in the states for the NFTA.....can't remember his name, but he does some good. if they are gonna bypass restriction on the mini then they are moving too fast.

I live in neighboring Minnesota and we have and still do have our disputes with Canada. This post is not directed at the Canadian poeple (whom I have had many very pleasurable experiences with) but rather at their goverment so here goes:

I'm sorry, but the "sensible minds" in your country have to get the vote out. Don't be ruled by the "urbanized" morons in your country. (And we have the same prob in the this country but we are split up into smaller states and each carries their own polictical clout). Maybe that is what Canada has to do. More provinces in order to separate the more rural areas from the will of the cities. give them an equal vote. I wish the "sensible" poeple of Canada the best!

Yote....this is a family site please feel free to express your yourself but keep it clean!!

You've probably heard this by now, but the minister involved now says the letter was sent out by mistake by an assistant who had his head up his arse and didn't know what he was talking about.
He now says there is no movement to get rid of the Mini14 "at this time." (That last bit scares me, but anyways. . . .)
So there ya go.

 Oh yeah. Absolutely. Hey Kemo Sabe, me think-um we can believe anything Great White Father to the East says on paper......

Realistically... Target shooting is putting holes in a piece of paper, right? Therefore anything that slings a projectile IS a "sporting purpose" for target shooting, including all those 4" and under and .25 to .32 caliber handguns they outlawed. Since handguns are only permitted for target shooting or collection, there is no reason why lawful pursuits of those activities should be curtailed...

  :(
