remington added some rifles to the list of special run calibers, i hadnt noticed this rifle being chamberd in the 17rem till now, im sure there will be some available. maybe even new on the shelf here and there.
just thought id let you know incase you didnt

Thanks Evan, but thats too much gun for what I need. My pencil barrelled 700 BDL is cut down to 20" for faster handling and less weight. I dont know what Id do on a calling stand when a pair of coyotes drop in at warp speed with a 26", Heavy Bbl, 9lb rifle.

Hey Andy, I have a REM 700 Classic in 17REM. They came with 24"
tubes. I think that I get a little more zip than the 20 & 22" pipes.
I found a REM factory syn stock in the bargin cave at Cabelas for
$60. That way I can save the absolutley gorgeous dark piece of
wood that came on it. See if you can find one of those classics.
After I put the syn stock on it is about the the perfect 17 for
calling. IMO.

what about the rem 700 lv sf, i think its chamberd in 17rem. would be perfect for a handy all around varmit rig.
though i think id rather try the rifle in a 223 or 204.
