Mr. 16 gauge

I did some playing around with my 1858 Remington replica, and found it to be extremely accurate with a 30 grain charge of FFFg and a Hornady round ball. However, it shoots below the point of aim about 4". I am wondering if anyone makes a replacement front sight that is a little shorter. I know I can file down the front sight, but would prefer NOT to do this, as I shoot conicals from time to time as well. Also, can anyone tell me what the safe, maximum load is for this gun? I have room for more powder, and was wondering if adding another 5 grains of FFFg might make the ball shoot more to the point of aim. Thanks in advance.
