I am starting to shoot sporting clays a little, just for fun. I am thinking of getting a 12 or 20 gauge O/U. I went to friend at the local gun shop and he recommended a Baikal/EAA. He saif he has sold hundreds of them and has had no complaints. They feel fairley well made and have several features usually found on very high end O/U's. I van get either a 20 or 12 in 3" mag for about $300.00

Has anyone shot any of these EAA/BAikal O/U or have any other recommendations for an O/U under $450.00

I think you can get a Stoeger o/u for under $450. A friend of mine had a point of impact problem with one of them, but that was about 8 years ago. Lately, I have only heard good things about them. Haven't seen a Baikal yet to express any opinion whatsoever on it.

I bought a Baikal sxs 16 gauge a few months ago and really like it. The shop that sold it to me has sold quite a few baikal sxs and o/u guns without a hitch. Remington is selling Baikal sxs and o/u shotguns under the Spartan trade name. All the best...

Everone I know who has bought a Baikal likes the, and I know a number of people that have the, I've shot my sons 16 that he bought for ducks. It shoots where it's pointed, a little heavy for a 16. They are on the stiff side when opening and closing them, they'll wear in. For the money I think they are a good buy, won't win any beauty contests. Most importantly they function well.
