Great pictures! I love the landscape and lodge. It brings great images to mind. How easy was it to get there with firearms being from another country? Do you have any information on the outfitter you could share? That really does look like a great time.

Hi 338winmag,

From you speech I take it that you are not from the US? Also Diana is a European sporting agency, a very respected one but they certainly are not cheap with their prices. I dearly want to go up th Scotland stag Stalking however the prices I have found are just silly. For the money they want for that I can travel to the US and hunt Deer and possibly Elk for a similar amount.

Now to bring a rifle and ammunition inot the UK you need a visitors Firearm Certificate, this has to be applied for by your host but I am not 100% certain on that. i will have to cjeck with a friend who does this sort of thing. He used to have clients from Diana I believe come over to England for Muntjac, Roe and Fallow stalking.

Oh a 2 point Red stag is a Staggie ;)

One day I will stalk red Stag in Scotland, one day:cool:

Hi 338winmag,

Yes I thought it was a Norse country you hailed from:) and well a certain number of Staggies need to be thinned out so the Dane did alright. I can feel for him about those hills, I am no-way near fit enough to go galloping over the Scottish Highlands:( and no I didn't know Denmark was flat:confused: in fact I know little of the Scandic/Norse countries:( Sorry!

Oh yes the Scots like ther "Drink" I am surprised about the John Smiths "Extra Smooth" though, as that is a Yorkshire ale. In Scotland I would have expect to see more Mckewans!

I showed a fellow for Alaska your pictures and now he wants to go hunting in Scotland mucho bad:p and he is blaming me for it:p As I said "One day I will be there hunting"......... one day!;)
