I thought that I had heard something about it being cancelled or postponed for some reason. Was that wrong?

Hey, Icequeen, how did your bear mount come out?

Ive been checking on the race at the Anchorage Daily News website. Been kinda following Rachel Scdoris who is hanging in there. Think its cool since she is out there mushing and is legally blind.

Robert Sorlie did it again. He got to Nome at 8:39 this morning.

Rachel Scdoris is still hangin in there, she's more than half way. :D

According to Cabelas web site Rachel has quit at Eagle Island due to concern for her dogs. But as Ice Queen said she made it more than half way and this was her first try. Appears this young lady has accomplished a lot so maybe she will be giving it another try next year.

Good for her. I'm glad to see that she had enough compassion for her dogs to know when to quit. I've noticed that a lot of these people are short dogs. It would grieve me something terrible to have to lose half my dogs to win a race.
