I just bought a 15rnd mag for my Glock 19. I then went home to try it. The mag fit perfectly into the recever, but the slide would not drop.
I took out the mag and compaired it to one of the 10rd Clinton clips. I found that the feeding lip on my 15rd mag had abit more plastic matirial on it. This "bump" is preventing the slide relese from being pressed in.
Is this common for 9mm Glock mags? Is their any way I can fix the mag?

Is it a Glock Mag with the steel lining? Never seen that happen before.

After playing with it abit more I found that the slide will drop if I realy press back hard on the slide relese.
I then tryed to chamber a live round. The cartrage chamber abit stiff, I would guess that was only due to the fact that its a new mag.

My brother in laws glock 19 was the same way with a couple of his mags. After shooting it about 100 rounds this weekend it works a lot better now. You don't have to push as hard on the slide release. In fact when i first shot it, (first couple mags) I actually had to pull the slide back to get it to release, 100 round later it is a lot smoother

Thats good to know Madman.
Ive mostly been using the Klinton mags at the range. Looks like its time to break-in my 15rnd mags.
