A very warm welcome to HuntChat, fordguy!
I've never loaded for the 7 RUM, so can't offer you any personal load advice. I'd check the websites for recent data.
That application calls for very slow powders, obviously. Hodgdon Retumbo or H4831SC, Alliant RL-25, IMR 7828, MagPro and similar powders all fill the bill. That beast eats a lot of fuel, so some of the cheap bulk cannon powders like Accurate 8700 would also be a good choice.

my "Beast" chews up 92 grains of Retumbo shooting the 162 gr Hornady A-Max. Using CCI Benchrest primers.
I haven't loaded any other brand of bullet since it only took me about 2 loads to get it shooting 1/2" at 100 yards. I've been playing with it for the last month and I'm right back where I started.
I did however mess around with changing the bullet seating depth and it was very interesting to see how much the "same load" except for the bullet depth caused different results in groups.
I might try some of that bulk WC 872. It seems to run REAL good out of the .300 Rum, so I'm sure it'll work in the 7. Plus you can buy 8 pounds cheaper than 1 pound of Retumbo!
