I had good success at the gun show. I arrived at 9:00 in the morning, walked on those hard concrete floors all day and made my deals between 5:30 and 6:00 that evening. It was a long, long day and I am still not walking around too good.:( Anyway, here is what I got....
Sako Forester in .243 This a 1970s gun in mint, unfired condition. It has the L579 action with an attractive dark walnut stock with cheek piece. I bought this rifle in .243 because it is a light weight gun so it will work well in the smaller caliber. It is really a beautiful gun.
pre-64 Winchester Model 70 in .270 What a wonderful rifle this is. It is a 1954 in standard grade and has had very few rounds ever go through it. The blue is near perfect and the stock only shows minor handling marks. I have never felt a rifle that feels so right to me. I am really looking forward to shooting this one. It feels really substantial in your hands so I got the larger caliber in this gun. It should make a great deer rifle. I am a happy boy.
Now expect to start seeing me hanging out in the scope section. :)
