I have a single shot H&R 20 with a modified choke (or was it improved modified. . . . darnit will have to go look again) ANYWAY I have been using this little bugger for about 25 years (24 years 3 months and 11 days to be exact. . . . .) and am thinking about taking up trap with it. . . . . .

Any load suggestions?

Thanks.

Yep...get a bigger gun. Won't do as well at real trap with a 20 ga. Just for fun go ahead and use the 20. I've shot trap with the 410(unique to say the least). Have fun with it. The tighter the choke the better

If you look at the sg's the so called pro's use they are mostly specality single shot's. They usually run in the high 4 numbers. Will yours work, yep just fine. Try # 7 1/2's.

Shooting a round of 100 out of that thing might be pretty hard on the jaw, but then again, it is a 20 ga.

Trap is tough to shoot with anything less than a 12 ga. because the bird is already 16 yards away from you when it is released. Wait a little while and we are talking about 30+ yard shots.

However, any shooting is better than no shooting and a 20 ga. will cause you to concentrate a lot more. It will be good for you.
