I've heard that Pact makes scales for other companies. I just dropped mine today. Is there a better scale made? Should I just get another Pact? As TRU would say, "Help Me."

RAZ

I BOUGHT ONE OF THE FIRST PACT SCALE AND MEASURE COMBOS AND WE HAVE ALWAYS GOTTEN ALONG FINE. IT'S A GOOD SETUP.

ALTHOUGH ELECTRONIC SCALES CAN BE A BIT PERSNICKETY, BUT I'M SURE YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT. THEY ARE A LOT LIKE WOMEN, ONCE YOU GET PAST THE LEARNING CURVE EVERYTHING IS FINE.

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT SENDING YOUR SCALE BACK TO PACT? A LOT OF TIMES COMPANIES WILL FIX AND RETURN THEIR PRODUCTS FOR NOTHING JUST TO KEEP GOOD CUSTOMER RELATIONS. SHOOTING CHRONY DID THAT FOR ME EVEN AFTER I SHOT MY CHRONOGRAPH. SURE GLAD THEY FIXED IT. I NEVER FOUND A GOOD RECIPE FOR CHRONOS.

JUST A COUPLE OF THINGS TO THINK ABOUT.

REGARDS.

PACT makes scales for RCBS and (I'm pretty sure) Dillon. If you can find one at lower cost, it's probably still a PACT.

But PACT is very good about warranty work, and the other companies might not be - especially if they only buy their scales and not the service that goes with it.

I'd send it back first, as recommended by Billy. BTW, Billy, I figured out my scale. But women? Uhhhhh....

I'm going to call their 800 number monday. The consensus I'm getting is that Pact is the way to go.

I have the little Pact BBK II scale and knocked over a glass of water on it and it died. I called Pact and told them what happened and they said to send it back, so I did and they fixed it.

If I was going the electronic route, I'd spend a little more money and get a good one from a company like Denver Instruments. I've owned a Pact and it was a disappoinment.
