In Plano TX, there is a shop selling a used Leupold Vari-X I for $150.00

First question, is this a fair price? It is in great condition.

Second, will Leupold honor the warranty (it's been an issue, as we know)?

Last, can I have a German #1 Post put in?

Leupold web page hasn't answered me (yet:rolleyes: ), and I work from 7am to 8pm, and can not take the time to call the customer service dept.

Thanks, JON

That's a reasonable price as they can be had brand new for another $50.

If something were to go wrong with it I don't think you would ever have any issue with them repairing it at n/c. I haven't on the used scope I bought and sent in for a reticle repair.

Yes you can have a reticle changed but it will cost you probably around $100 bucks. There is a place on Leupold's site that will allow you to see what reticles are available for each model and how much it will cost. I'll have to look it up again though.

leupold as far as i know backed out of what they were going to do. by makein it so only the original owner of the scope could send it in for free repairs.

premier reticle can set you up with whatever reticle you want. this is the only place leupold has work on theyre scopes. im not positive but they may far out reticle changes. if you send the scope to leupold to get the german reticle it may end up at premier reticle.
