Just purchased a new pair of Leupold Wind River Mesa (Compact) Binoculars. 8x23 revirsed purroprisim.
Light is weight, very good field of view with a very bright pricture.
Priced at about $98 at Wal-Mart. Tried them against serveral (6 each other) sizes and powers and these were the best of the lot for the money, including several with 25mm, 40mm & 50mm objectives. The Leupold were better in every way that I could try in the store.
They come with a belt pouch, neck strap and lense caps. The are very much better than any of the fold up compacts that I had considered in the past and was still looking at. the are hinged in the middle like a roofprisim for strength but with the optics of a purroprisim.
I think that they will do untill I can afford the high priced spread.
Let me know what you think.
