I don't watch TV at all these days, but if I do it would most likely be a re-run of the Andy Griffith show. One of the best characters in the history of television was on that show, Ernest T. Bass. Well it seems the actor who played Ernest T. (Howard Morris) died overnight. Today's TV writers could take lessons from these shows.

You're right M.T., but it isn't going to happen because that kind of T.V. won't sell in today's T.V. market. If there isn't nudity and violence and adult language it won't make the cut. Sure is a sad state of affairs when you have to have those three ingredients to sell a movie.

Ernest T Bass, what a character! I loved that guy and my wife and I still watch that show almost every night after recording it on DVR. It was about what was right in America and the wife and I are lookin' for our own "Mayberry" to get away from this left coast.

Wouldn't it have been great to be a Sherriff and have your worst "bad guy" be a guy like Earnest T? :D

You know there are still some towns out in Montana really close to being the way Mayberry was in that show:D
