Helllllllllllooooooooooo Good Old Boy. Seems like it's pretty slow on everywhere right now. Cheer up, there's gotta be a rain day before long and somebody will have something to say.
I check in every now and then. I don't cowboy shoot myself, but am sort of interested in it.

Well, The Mad One has at long last returned from my unanticipated sojourn away from HC...
(The WW2 Forum I was moderating at folded up shop, the WW1 re-enacting unit I'm helping found...well, the Arizona re-enacting season is over for the summer, work has simmered down now that we have addditional techs who can help out in the lab, and the problems I was having with my GF* have settled themselves out)
Am now doing some Old Westy stuff in addition to World War One, so I'm actually doing "Two Timeperiods" as the re-enactors say. ;)
(well, already had the 19th C. revolvers, so the only expensive firearm purchase for me was the Austrian service revolver...)
This being a nice LOOOONG weekend I plan on getting a bunch of .38 Longs rolled up (I've almost run out! And need to run off some with hollowbase projos for best obturation & accuracy in the cartridge conversions!) getting that comparison test done with the Kirst Conversion 1851 soon and getting a few more articles of gear & garb for my 1870's Cowboy persona...
(Gotta get the rest of my Jayhawker garb so I have a 2nd outfit! Occasion has arisen where I have to be a "retired" Northern Irregular)
Dos Vidanya, amigos!

Darkwolf:
Funny you should mention the "Villa Chasers"--
George Duckworth, one of the higher-ups with Arizona Civil War Council (hence ACWC) does both WW1 AEF and Jack Pershing's Villa Chasers--along with being current commanding officer of the 1st Texas Inf.
Now, me & my crew doing WW1 Austro-Hungarian Empire forces, there's about 10% of the gear an A-Hungarian trooper could use that could possibly be subbed out for Civil War Confederate...
(By the end of the war, my guys were so strapped for equipment we were putting back into service obsolete equipment in some cases going back to the 1860's...which back then --when it was new-- we might have sold to the CSA for tobacco and cotton)
