ok before anyone says anything LOL - i got to ask this because i did search before posting and didnt see anything so here goes-----i saw this barrel deresonator advertised and im not sure if its really new to the market or if its kind of like a brick stretcher and nobody knows much about it but they advertise like its a miracle - its nothing but a piece of round rubber that you slide on your barrel - not sure if it will fit a bull or not but -- they say it will increase accuracy by decreasing barrel vibrations and you adjust it by moving it up and down on your barrel -- now if some of you fellas bought one and it dont work and you dont want to admit it then just pm or email me but if you did buy one and it worked then i want to know about it --- if this has already been discussed and its a bunch of bull then forget i created this post ok scoot:cool:

Here's the site for Limb Saver, the manufacturers. www.Limbsavers.com
I haven't tried the de-resonator YET but I have a couple of their recoil pads that are just a bit better than GREAT.
I also know some "stick-flippers" that have Limb Savers on their bows and swear by this product. Hope this helps.

I FIRST RAN INTO THIS TYPE THING IN 1955 WHEN I WAS SHOOTING ON A RIFLE TEAM IN COLLEGE.
IT WAS USED BY AN ENGINEERING STUDENT ON HIS RIFLE. HIS WAS VERY SIMPLE. IT WAS A BAND USED TO SECURE WATER HOSES AND GAS LINES IN CARS.
YOU JUST SLID IT UP AND DOWN THE BARREL UNTILL YOU FOUND THE PLACE IT SHOT THE BEST, IN THIS DAY AND AGE KNOWN AS THE "SWEET SPOT". THEN TIGHTENED IT DOWN.
ENGINEERS IN THOSE DAYS WERE THE COMPUTER GEEKS OF TODAY.
I WOULD PRESUME THAT WITH WHAT WE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND ABOUT BARREL HARMONICS IN THESE DAYS IT MAY BE A VIABLE PRODUCT. IT WAS NOT A NOTICEABLE ADVANTAGE AT THAT TIME BECAUSE WE WERE SHOOTING INDOORS AT SHORT RANGE. THIS WAS ONE OF THOSE DEALS WHERE IF YOU SHOT OUTSIDE THE TEN RING YOU WERE OUT OF THE MATCH. SOMETHING LIKE SHOOTING A 98 IN TRAP AND LOSING. SORRY SON THAT JUST WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH.
TYPICAL EQUIPMENT IN THOSE DAYS, MODEL 52 WINCHESTER TARGET MODEL, SLING, PALM STOP, UNERTL 10X SCOPE WITH LEE TACK HOLE DOT AND THE ACTION ALL SLICKED UP. YOU WEREN'T CRAP IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE YOUR BOLT JEWELED.
THE OTHER CLASS USED NOTHING BUT IRON PEEP SIGHTS THAT WERE FINER THAN FROG FUR.
THIS GUY ALSO TAUGHT ME ABOUT FUEL DITRIBUTION IN A MULTI CARBURETED ENGINE AND HAVING ALL THE FUEL LINES TO THE CARBS THE SAME LENGTH. SURE STOPPED FUEL STARVATION TO THE CARBS. HE ALSO FUTZED AROUND WITH HAVING THE EXHAUST HEADER PIPES AT EQUAL LENGTH. BUT THAT GOT REALLY EXPENSIVE AT THAT TIME.
THEN MY GIRL FRIEND AT THE TIME, LATER TO BECOME MY WIFE, GOT PREGNANT AND SCREWED UP MY WHOLE LIFE. IT WAS ALL HER FAULT. :D
I BELIEVE THAT A NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE COULD BE DETECTED IN ACCURACY WITH A HARMONIC BALANCER AT LONG RANGE. NOW REMEMBER THIS IS PURELY THEORY.
WE ALL KNOW THAT AT THE SHOT THE ACTION AND BARREL VIBRATE, WE DON'T SEE IT BUT WE KNOW IT DOES BECAUSE "ENGINEERS WITH VEEEERY EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT" HAVE TOLD US SO. A BARREL ACTS LIKE A BUGGY WHIP AT THE SHOT.
SHUCKS, IT WOULDN'T COST YOU MUCH TO FIND OUT. PLAY WITH THE IDEA AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
GOOD LUCK.
