I guss it exists. Here is an example:
http://www.lipseys.com/products/prodSpecs.aspx?ID=HSTX1911&idx=1&ItemID=&mfg=HS&Md=All&tp=All&act=All&cal=All&fin=All&stk=All&sgt=All&len=All&prc=All
A High Standard, and its not a .22 .
There is a gundealer localy selling one of these, for a fair price. Has anyone ever heard of one of these? Should I pass on it? Has anyone heard anything good or bad about this handgun?
He also has a Lee Enfield Jungle Carbine. A original, in great shape. I may just get that instead.
I may be messed up thinking that the .45 is a High Standard. Its late in the night now after all. This stinkin question is keeping me awake!!!

HEY GREG
IF IT WAS ME I'D TAKE THE ENFIELD. THEY ARE GETTING TO BE ABOUT AS SCARCE AS CHICKEN LIPS IF THEY ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THEY ARE A GOOD RIFLE.

Yesterday, I went into the gunshop just as the Enfield was going out the door. What a shame I had to witness that event:( .
I had a Lica 1200 rangefinder that isnt very usefull in my area of Florida. So I decided to get rid of it. The gunstore owner didnt want to trade the rangfinder for the 1911 unless I added some cash. So I got a Rossi .38 snub nose w/h a ancle holster.
I figured a "snubby" would be alot more usefull here than a rangefinder.
If only I could intrduce the Groundhog into Florida. .

SORRY ABOUT THE ENFIELD. I HAVE A ROSSI, MODEL 68, BOBBED THE HAMMER AND PURCHASED A SET OF EAGLE DETECTIVE GRIPS FOR IT. NICE LITTLE PIECE. IT GOT CARRIED A LOT BUT SHOT LITTLE. BY ME.
I USED TO LET MY LADY CARRY IT AS A PURSE GUN. SHE SHOT THE HECK OUT OF IT. JUST LOVED IT.
HEY THAT WOULD BE A NEW INNOVATION, WHISTLEPIGS IN FLORIDA. POOR GUYS WOULDN'T MAKE IT THROUGH THE FIRST YEAR, THEY'D ALL DROWN.
HAVE A GOOD ONE BUD.

North Florida has alot of cattle countery, where it isnt a gigantic swamp. But I didnt figure in thr fact that it rains alot, without alot of natural outlets. Its just two flat here I guess.
I gusse there are treerats,.. sorta. A Florida treerat is about half the size of a normal treerat, without as thick of a tail. Most of the vermin here are nocturnal.
The airborn treerats here are kinda cool.
The Rossi I got is a mod. R35102, nothing fancy. The grip is kinda large, but rubberised.

Sorry to hear the Jungle Carbine got away. In this business it seems best to jump on whatever looks good to us. You can always sell it later if you change your mind. Nothing good ever gets past me. All the best...
