While cleaning up some of this years whistle pigs for my usual farmer, another farmer came by and asked if I could do the same for him..so I had to think about it for a while..( while I hid my excitement)...and got directions...seems noone has hunted them there for years and he reminded me to bring lots of ammo..well he wasn't kidding the least...I ran out while they were still sitting up looking at me...aaaaaaahhhhh...pure hog heaven...the 223 does a fine job (one shot, one hog) with anything from a few yards to 300...well I have had the opportunity to hunt the surrounding farms for years now and lots of them have been closed to hunting since before I was born..or because noone just has asked permission to do so...so lesson one..just because it is posted, ask and you shall receive most of the time...I just never thought hoggin in heaven would turn into what resembles a job....and I thought I was retired.....lol...bye...headin to the field to work...and so far, I have never made it to one of their brothers farm...and I know it hasn't been hunted either..too far off the trail.....I would post a picture of my pod made from old arrows that holds the front and back of the rifle for the steadiest shooting had but I just can't seem to get the post a picture down on here....in the vB code normal, enhanced...http:// img close all or current tags etc...items...oh what to do.....I know...just look for some hay munchers and heck with it....
