I have looked this little bugger over for years (24 of them to be exact), and now they even have a nifty little camo number. I know the original AR-7s shot purty durned well. Anybody have experience with the new ones?

I've looked at this one for years as well. Maybe even longer than you. Funny, I had heard that they didn't shoot very well.

i BET THIS SHOOTS A BIT MORE ACCURATE BUT THE COST WILL BE ALOT MORE.

JM:
I don't think the Browning is even inthe same categorey as the Henry AR. The latter is a "survival" rifle that stores in its stock (and that package is supposed to float). I may miss my guess on the Browning, but I don;t think that's its claim to fame, is it? It looks like something they built up out of a .22 auto pistol.

Right. Point of the survival rifle is you can toss it under a seat, in a backpack, etc. And like Hawkeye6 said.. . . . . . it floats!
Weighs 2.5lbs. . . . .

One of these days I will pick one up and take it to the range. All the best...

Tried one. Light, take down so easy to transport, fun but very mediocre for accuracy.

GoodOLBoy, my co-worker and hunting partner has a Marlin Pappose and likes it a lot. Accuracy is pretty good. As with most .22's accuracy depends on what ammo it likes. I would have to think that it would serve the purpose of a survival weapon. Been thinking of getting one myself. MC
