What's your favorite shotgun?? I myself like the Winchester Model 1200(not the 1300) 20 gauge.

its like this, for those of us who go all season in the mud rain, snow and water and subzero temps all day, although we may want to that gun doesnt all get rushed home and cleaned, my 390 is lucky to see 3 good take aparts in a year and only hiccupped once in 6 years (last year) easy to take apart few peices most importantly when i point it the honkers fall! AL390 silver mallard, paid half what the benelli folks did ;)

Tough question,
depends on the situation, I love my Browning XS Skeet for skeet and trap but I also like the Berretta 303 20ga. for an occasional round or two of skeet. I've been doing real well with the little 20 on doves and it is a hoot to shoot. I have very high expectations for my new Bennelli SBE for the blind this year but we will see.
If I had to pick one from my early years it would have been my Remington 1100. It did everything and didn't miss a beat for over 20yrs. As I got older and had more "disposable" income I changed to more expensive toys, but looking back I think the ole 1100 was probably the most versitile/dependable I've had.

I've got an old 870 Rem Wingmaster that is hard to beat. It has shot everything from quail to turkeys. It's about 35 years old but still shoots very well. I got a Benelli Nova about five years ago and I really like the way it shoots. Those are probably my two favorites. That doesn't mean they are the best on the market. Your favorite gun should be the one you shoot the best and they are the ones I shoot best.

Remington 870 Express in 12, and Mossberg 500 in 20.

Hands down more people shoot these 2 guns as well or better than any other guns on the market...My preference the 1100 and the 870 pump. The 1100 is pretty reliable for an auto and the 870 is just one of those guns that always works....My preference in pump guns is the ole Model 12 Winchester. I never wore one out...yet... but the darn thing was just a great diving duck gun...especially a trap gun in a booby blind...shooting down on those ole cans and blackheads(bluebills for you yankees).:D I have a 28 ga M-12 that is just the best shooter for those gentlemanly birds the bobwhite quail... nice on the covey rise but just great on the singles etc after the rise

Dang, that is a tough question KT.

Like you, I have a Beretta that I really like to shoot. It cleans up on clays and doves, but it is the 391 Teknys Gold and it cost me more than my Benelli SBE cost. Then again, the 391 was bought two years ago and the Benelli was bought 8 years ago, so inflation might have something to do with it.

Now, I also love my SBE, but don't use it to shoot clays because it doesn't cycle the light loads all the time. Hence, the SBE for most hunting and the 391 for clays.

With all that said, I still own a couple of Beretta 682's that I like and I really like to shoot the o/u's. Problem I have had with using them on sporting clays is the recoil from so many rounds. Hence, the use of the 391, which I have recorded better scores with anyway.

I still use the 682's for trap and skeet though.

There are a couple of other guns I have, but if I had to pick just one gun out of my safe as the only gun I could shoot for the rest of my life, it would probably be the 391, followed closely by the SBE.

I actually hunt with an Ithaca 37, but Iv'e handled Browning and Beretta SXS 20s that I shoot better and therefore like better.I guess my favorite would be a Purdey or a Rigby if I handled one.:)

Yup, that is a tough one. I guess I can say I don't have a favorite -- depends on what I'm doing and the task at hand. For looks would have to be my Beretta 682, clays / upland Browning Citori, for fun a Suhl SxS, waterfowl an 870, deer a Win 1300, skeet an 1100 in LT20. Never had any problems with any of them, so they're all my favorites. Was at the National Shooting Competition last week and checked out the Perazzi's -- they'll have to sit for a while yet until I hit the Lotto. I'd like to shoot a few rounds with them to see what they'll do though, Waidmannsheil, Dom.

My favorite is my Beretta 20 ga.O/U. Not that its a Berreta, but that its just over 6 lbs. Carry it for many miles each season and appreciate the light weight, especially when its a long day, and it perfoms very well on uplands.

Let me get back to you on this one, have to see how this 391 xtrema does:D , but i can tell you, for shooting the little bunnies i love my Browning A-5 (belgium) round barrel. It is a shame the rabbits are becoming a thing of the past around here:mad: .

I like doubles..so on that note..an old Stevens er AH fox would be at the top..but I love a Rem Wingmaster..and Ithacas...I got a Winchester 12..but it dont seem to fit as good as a Rem or Ithaca.
I been itchin to trade it in fer another shotgun this year..hubby's gittin a new one too..we'll see what I wind up pickin..and ya'll know how us women is...I'll spend 2 days tryin to decide...worse than a kid in a dern candy store..l:rolleyes:

I said new didnt I..well..my "new" gun is always a gun that's pre-1950's..I love old guns with a passion..rifles & shotguns both.
I dont think I ever owned a brand new gun..lol

For Trapshooting my Favorite is my Krieghoff KS-5 Trap single, For hunting is my Franchi Raptor Semi Auto, and for 5 stand sporting and doubles its my Browning Grade VI Citori Over/under. Each for its own purpose!:) Roy
