if you're gonna post something in the for sale thread you really ought to have something for sale not something i need to go to an auction for.

Sorry! I didn't realize this was offensive? It is for sale after all...
That is what an auction is.
I just figured this was a way to let more people that are into hunting know that it was available.
Did I break the rules? If so, my appologies. I will go read them before I post anymore ebay links.
Thanks,
Wes:confused:

I checked the rules on posting ebay links and it says that that is acceptable. I did e-mail huntchat to make double sure though. I am now waiting on a response.
I had one more item to post and did but will have it and the others removed if need be.
Thanks again,
Wes

Bucktrak,
IMHO, no harm no foul .... but I do believe what the rules meant was more of an auction here on HuntChat. Periodic simul-posting of ebay items isn't a major thing to me, but I would prefer our great members to have a "first whack" at the items here first before listing. I think everyone will find that our members our usually generous in what they'll pay for something, and you won't find you have to wait long to sell it.:D
If after a week or so, you find it isn't going anywhere, then I would suggest posting it on ebay and linking it in your original thread here.
This is only my interpretation as the moderator of this forum, and if the admins or Petey (the owner) feel differently, I'm sure they'll post here and their ruling will stand.
Good luck to you, and everyone who is swapping or shopping with the great members of Hunt Chat.

This is the e-mail I sent Huntchat to find out what was proper here...
Just wanted to know if it was okay to post items I
have on ebay with a link provided to get to them? I
have been doing so but wanted to make sure.
Thanks,
Wes

This was the reply...
AS long as it's not commercial (meaning you're selling these items as
part
of your business), then feel free!!!
Petey
I am Happy with the outcome.:D
Thanks,
Wes

i guess it was your title that got me. had the title stated "Scope 4sale on ebay" then yea i would have known it was a bidding thing. i have been in the market for a extra scope and when i saw it listed as "for sale" i thought i could go into this thread and decide if it was what i was looking for at a price i was wanting to pay and get it over with. but i agree with lonewolf it would have been a nice gestur to list it a week here and if no one takes it then link it to ebay or whatever. but then again i'm not the one needing to sell the scope and you do need/want to get what you can.
