Well, we are in week 3 of our hunting season and we've had a spectacular year so far. There are more birds up here than I've ever seen and if push comes to shove, I could have another hundred bird year. Our first weekend, 4 of us ended up with 80 ducks and 11 swans. Our limit for swans is 3 per person.
Last weekend, we could only get to our camp for Saturday night shoot and all six guys limited out that evening at 10 ducks a piece. The next morning the duck hunting was a little slower, but two of the guys managed to get 2 swans a piece.
If any of you are in the Pacific flyway, I would expect that you'll have a stellar year also. There are just a pile of ducks and geese up here. Our conditions must have been just right this summer and the survival rate for young ones was high.
I'll give another report on Monday.
