I'm by no means an expert on shed hunting having only found 1 shed while shed hunting in my life.
But I've only hunted sheds once too.
Bet most can't brag 100% success.
What I did was follow a deer trail paying particular attention to places the deer would have jumped. My thinking was the landing would be a jolt that just might be enough to knock the shed loose.
Evidently my theory was correct because I found mine 4' down a creek bank at a crossing.
I also checked fences where they crossed.
Good luck

I usually find sheds in the Spring before the grass gets too tall. It requires a lot of foot work. They can almost be anywhere, from bedding to feeding areas and everywhere in between.

If you have any apple trees in you area that is a good place too find them also. You might want too hike the hedgerows around the fields they are feeding in.Check where a trail crosses a dig or fence line any where they half too jump is a great place.Any southern exsposure where they can bed or feed in the winter is a great spot for sheds.Like Jonesy said hike all the trails from there feeding area too there bedding area.Good Luck next sping.
