Since I discovered "Wipeout" I use it exclusively. Love the stuff.
I hear great things about "copper melt" but hav yet to have personal experience.
My next purchase will be GM Top End Cleaner. It contains the same ingredients as some of the more popular bore cleaners but price is way reduced.
Proven powder remover say those who use it.
Just tho't I'd answer.

I use the spray brake cleaners found a W-mart, k-mart or auto pats stors. Buy the cheapest stuff on sale, it's all the same.
High pressure cleaning, leaves no residue, cleans bbls well. I do however, take the gun outta da wood !!!

I do the same as Hnter. Saw what it did for breaks, thought, "Hmmm,... maybe." Tried it on a Marlin .22 I have and it worked better than anything else I've found. I will, however, keep it away from the blued areas and always use a lube/protectant spray afterward. My only fear if that it may open up chances of quicker deterioration, but nothing so far in a year and a half of using it (save for cleaner barrels).:D

Nope, no residue is left.
It leaves metal squeeky clean !!!
Doesn't hurt bluing.
It will eat paint.
I've used the stuff over 30 years without problems. I also use an automotive type parts cleaner tank bought at a tool sale for the nasty ones. It gets cosmo and other greasy gun preservatives OFF cheaply with ease. Then I spray with the brake cleaner then a good high quality (not WD-40 type crap) spray lube.
I also use the brake lube to clean bbls..... try it.

I've been using Montana Extreme for the last year or so and am quite satisfied with it. For all the cleaners that contain ammonia I follow up with Kroil which really gets down into the pores and neutralize the ammonia in Montana Extreme. Just one mans opinion. Best wishes.

I love to shoot my AR15`s, but HATE to clean the bolt and it`s parts. An all day job, and you end up having to scrape the gunk off everything, till i found slip 2000 carbon cutter. Now i just soak the the parts for an hour and wipe them off, too cool.
