It looks like it is the exact same gun as the Benelli Super Sport II, but without the silver receiver.

If I had the money, I would have a Super Sport II along with my Beretta 391 Teknys. I am dying to try the new Comfortech system on the Benelli SBE, but I also like the claims from Beretta on their Extrema (i.e., it is the least recoiling shotgun out there). Too many guns out there and not enough money.

At the end of the day, I don't think you can go wrong with the Cordoba.

I almost bought one but when I compared the price with the SBEII I decided to splurge. I don't really need the 3.5in but what the heck. The dealer didn't have one in camo either, not that that was a big deal either. I guess I just had my weak mind made up before hand.

What did you end up paying for the SBEII? The list price on the Cordoba is $1,600. I almost fell out of my chair. When I bought my SBE 7 or 8 years ago, it was $1,050, which I thought was expensive back then.

fabs, its no wonder the xtrema doesnt recoil much, the thing weighs a damn ton! actually i love the gas system, all these other companies dog it, but if it aint broke dont fix it i say. Do you think it would be possible to just order the new stock from benelli with comfortech. since you already have the gun? that would be a money saver idea, although im not sure the dimensions would feel the same then when shooting

What is funny is that after posting that reply above, I went to Benelli's website to see if that was an option. I might just have to call the factory over at Accokeek to see if I can find out the answer. If I could just buy the stock I would be really happy because I am sure my gun has a lot more shooting in it.

Cash price was $1250 out the door, but I traded my old M1 so we went off list of $1545 and I was out the door for a grand. That was for shadow grass.

A friend of mine has one of those benelli Sport guns. Tried to sell it to me for 900 bucks. He musta thunk I was crazy or somethin!! Pretty gun but pretty don't count too much for a field gun...in my opinion. Heck I used to use my D grade 1100's for dove and quail hunting...but they really did shoot good.

I don't care how nice a gun looks, it has to shoot well for its owner.

Luckily, I have been shooting pretty well with the Beretta and Benelli autos and there is no doubt in my mind that I would probably be able to shoot well with the Cordoba or the Benelli Sport II. I know the setup that I like on those types of guns after a lot of tinkering. All of my autos are set up with the same cast and drop. That makes it a lot easier to go from one gun to another.

Problem comes with the o/s's because they aren't as adjustable. I wish Beretta would put a shim kit on its o/u's like it does with its autos.
