Here is a shot of my deer. The smallest of the group, but he was plenty heavy. The veg in the background looks short, but a deer could disappear in the there in a heart beat and if there were feeding, they could not be seen. BTW, the deer is missing his hind quarters at this point and I have been slapping black flies after gutting. So no, no one sucker punched me. :D

The first day up the mountain I had a good buck at 208 yards, but could only see his throat and head. Like a dumbass I thought I would mouzy on down there and kill the sucker. Too bad the veg was too high. The other guys could see the buck circle around me at less than 20 yards and I couldn't see him at all. Won't make that mistake again.

Another field shot. Big body. Never seen so much fat on a deer.

I went the first day with a bow and then later to my 280. The 280 did the trick at 175 yards.

thats a fine looking animal. you can tell by looking at his legs he's healthy.

that 'lope was nice to. good shot placement. lots of good eating there.

i don't remember if i have asked you before, but do you have any experience with calhoons 19 caliber rifles? i noticed you were from havre and was wondering abut his rifles. for some reason they fascinate me .

thanks for any info.

good shootin', still lots of season left. good luck.

What did he weigh?
What time of year were you up there.? It's a long way from home.
