Quick question to those in other parts of the country...
Has anyone heard of or know the whereabouts and disposition of Ken Hamblin the "Black Avenger" and his conservative talk radio show? Our local radio station dropped Ken a couple years ago to pick up Sean Hannity much to my dismay and then they went to Air America the democrat liberal welfare radio with those liberal puke gasbags that call themselves Americans.
I lost track of Ken and feel like I lost a good friend. We met and had cocktails and dinner when he and "brutha" Roger flew the American Dream, his Piper Seneca II out here to San Luis Obispo. What a great guy! I went to his web site and it's a no go and has been for a couple weeks. I see virtually no current info when I do a Google Search for his show. He originally broadcast out of Denver, CO and our own "From Bear Creek" Ward Clark was featured on his show a few years back. (Ward, if you read this, any ideas?)
I just want to know what has happened with Ken! :(

I dunno. He was not in my area, but I heard him as a guest onece on someone elses show. I remember looking up his website probably a half-dozen years ago. Tried again after reading your post, but no joy.
Did you try some of the radio websites, or blogs or whatever? I'd be interested in what you turn up.

I'm positive that he filled in for Sean Hannity a few weeks ago. I really liked him too. I especially loved his song "Goodbye" when they would execute some POS that needed it.

Treedoc you got me curious. I remember hearing ken before so i did soem looking on the net, but there is not anything i have found, except links to articles and interviews.
the few older links i found for his homepage are dead, and two supposedly recent pages that had contact info for him are both 404 errors.
I'll keep looking, if i find anything i'll give you a yell.

I tried to search for Hamblin when Treeedoc made his original post. I also found nothing current or useful. If you did, please post something informative on it.

Thanks for the replies. On another site where I posted the same question for exposure, someone responded with and answer that surprised me yet I can't confirm it. Supposedly Ken up and pulled the plug on his show and website one day back in late '03. I'm not sure why but there was supposedly some legal stink along with it having something to do with him taking all his tapes. (???) Heresy at best but I guess he's gone now. :(
For those who never heard his show, Ken was a first generation black American who grew up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area in Brooklyn. He was raised buy his Auntie and worked his way out of the poverty to pursue the American Dream. He was an activist during the civil rights movement as well as member of the 101st Airborne. My description doesn't come close to describing his background or accomplishments but he had a fantastic conservative talk radio show for many years and was extremely fair to all callers regardless of their political compass. Ken had pursued and found the American Dream and aptly named his own twin engine Piper Seneca II aircraft just that, the "American Dream". He would wing his way around the country for speaking engagements and refuse to utilize the traditional commercial airlines because of their total ineptitude which people so commonly and blindly live with every day.
Well...I hope one day I can find the whole story. It would be great to here him on the radio again.
I did find this on a Florida Stations Web Site (http://580wdbo.com/inside/ken_hamblin.html)

What Happened to Ken Hamblin?
Many of you have asked why Ken Hamblin is no longer on our airwaves. As you will see from the news article below, WDBO had nothing to do with Ken's rather abrupt decision to stop broadcasting with his network.
We will be making a decision on a permanent replacement soon, and as always, WDBO INSIDERS will be the first to know.
(from the broadcasting trade publication RADIO & RECORDS)
Syndicated talk host Ken Hamblin and American View Radio Networks abruptly ended their relationship this week. Hamblin tells R&R that American View Networks "did not have the wherewithal to handle" his show, and alluded to a dispute over money owed to him by American View in explaining yesterday's notification by American View to affiliates of The Ken Hamblin Show that Hamblin decided to discontinue broadcasting his show and removed show tapes from the network's Denver studios.

Not sure what date that was posted, but they still have it on their site.
