I got to thinking about the really cool things I've seen through the years from the duck blind and I figure that everyone else has seen some neat stuff. Here's a list of some of my favorites.
Air Force One being refueled in mid-air. (6 times) apparently we are in a training area and obviously without the Pres. it isn't #1 but still a sight to see.
The space shuttle piggy backing back to Florida.
Eagles mating
Eagles feeding. (taking fish)
Idiots trying to run a boat full speed through a stump field. (unsuccessfully)
6 trumpeter swans migrating right past all the hunters
Just a few, I'm sure others have some neat things they've seen.

Great idea. We were hunting a marsh that was infested with Red Wing Blackbirds. Then I saw a Sparrow Hawk swipe one out of the air right in front of us (15 yards away). I yelled to my buddy next to me so he could take a look, and it scared the heck out of the hawk. He dropped it into the reeds and the blackbird just sat there for the rest of the day.
One other time I saw four drake Mallards fall dead right in front of our boat :D

I was hunting a narrow canal late one season and watched an immature bald eagle glide low along the channel and whack one of my hen decoys. You should have seen his head turn and look over his shoulder when his talons smacked the plastic G&H head. He pulled up within 30 yards, landed on a branch and just stared at the undisturbed flock.:D

I think the funniest for me was A coot swam in my blocks and went up to a mallard hen decoy and started to peck at it the swam over to anouther and did the same thing. I have also had a group of 5-6 brant pitch into my decoys and they all tucked thier heads and went to sleep, right in the middle of my spread.

I've had some neat and not so neat thing happen while in the blind.
#1
A cow caribou swam right through our decoys in early October four years ago.
#2
I've had my decoys shot at by some locals with what appeared to be a .223. The bullets zipped by the swans dekes about 10 yards away!
#3
We shot a teal one time, it glided about a hundred yards and just before it hit the water, a hawk came up and grabbed it.
#4
Watching a muskrat chew on the foam inside of our swan decoys while they floated on the water.

Went goose hunting today. Duck season ended sometime last week ducks everywhere. Just after sun up resetting one of the goose dekes, bent over heard wings real close, looked to the right at mallard hen landing. My buddy said if I hadn't of bent over I would've been beaked in the back.

Wouldn't that be ironic if the bird flew into you, it died on you, and then the game warden pulled up and wrote you a citation. Now that would be one heck of a story, but yours is still pretty good.
