Has anyone used a scope with illuminated cross hairs. I have been thinking of getting one. I have used the red dot scopes but they have no mag or little at all if so..This one has the black x but the center portion of the x will light red. To be used during those late or early shots at yotes or what not. Or in the deep dark woods where the black x can be a PIA. Does the illumination

I shot a friends coyote night gun with I believe a 3-10-50 leopold scope and I liked it alot. It just had the one target dot illuminated and i thought it worked well at night. It was on a 223 browning abolt. I did think the scope look a bit out of proportion with the great big objective but you could see though it well on a moonlit night.

I have an illuminated Mueller scope, but have not had any situation yet to use the illuminated reticle.

I found this in Sportsmand Guide. No brand name given other than guide gear....but the dollar value is quite different. This one I can afford to add to the play toys. What you get for the $$ couldn't be a bad thing as long as those that have tried the illuminated x has found it not to get in the way and during bright hours of the day still find the x with no problem. I have used the red dot but as for the one I have, is only good on nice days because there is a green cast to the lens and it gets dark real fast in there. There is no magnification either. Was going to try the x instead of the dot because of the 3-12x56 tks

Ok.got the scope...is guide gear and mounted it on my 7 mag for now....Impressed?...must say to the max...the fine hairs in the center without illumination let me get to the heart of the target. With the light on, too bad deer season is over now because I must have shot the mount on the wall a dozen times already...I give it a 10....Now to get another one...Before this I liked the TV view scopes..I am down to just one of those now because I kept putting them on my daughters guns and my nephews...lol...I haven't seen any around my local lately either..humm..
