just read on another forum about diamond brand dog food. it seems someone introduced alfatoxins into the dogfood.

you can read all about it at www.diamondpetfood.com.

it doesn't affect all states, so read the particulars. easterners and southerners beware.

BUT, IF THERE IS ONE BAD BAG OUT THERE OL' BILLY D WILL FIND IT. I'M SO BLESSED. ;)

I woulodn't touch it w/ a ten foot pole. A few guys have had their fox hounds fall over dead from eating that stuff here as of late! We're talking multiple multiple multiple thousands of dollars in hounds!!! Shame!:(

Well if is the case then I would think they would have a "Case" against the company as they had just admitted liability on some or part of their product.
Should be an easy thing to check the food now that you already know what to look for in it.

In Maryland, lawsuits for the death of a pet are limited to $7,500 last I checked. I think it is completely insane. The damages should be whatever the fair market value of the animal is.

Of course, livestock is not included in the definition of "pet" which consists of any domesticated animal, but not livestock.

I know I wouldn't be happy with $7,500 in exchange for Nitro.

About the only way Diamond can get out of liability on this one is if they can show that somebody did something to the dog food once it left the factory/plant. Of course, if entire batches are coming back with this problem, they are out of luck.
