I saw that you folks had 4 feet of water in some areas of the city! I hope you and your new abode has managed to stay somewhat dry.
I just made it out of my Duck Club in Glenn County, CA (1.5 hrs north of Sacramento) on Saturday morning. I was up there for 5 days in the wind and rain bangin' ducks dead and while I was doing that it was starting to flood in the areas around my club. Friday night had Labrador Jack and myself in our travel trailer at the club not 10 feet from the bank of Jack's favorite swimmin' canal. The winds were sustained at 30-40 with gusts to 55 mph!! Needless to say I didn't get much sleep and since I had secured my possesion limit Friday late afternoon, I decided to high-tail it out of there. Some of the other guys at the club hunted Saturday and then got out so I'm not sure if we experienced a major flood on the property or not. My trailer and ATV are still there I hope. The ATV is insured and I don't have that much into the travel trailer except for all my favorite Drake Waterfowl clothing systems. :( We'll see how bad this gets!
On the way out the Nat'l Weather Service used the Emergency Broadcast System over a radio program that warned of a Tornado friendly condition just north of my club! They then broke in and warned of very severe thunderstorms along my route of travel but fortunately I was a half hour behind it. SCARY and not something we see much of out here in the "Golden State."
