are 223gr. power belts big enough for deer out to 150-200yds? with what bullistics I've seen, they look quite
adaquet.just wondering if anyone has used them and did you like them.;) Ken

I used them for the first time last weekend and shot a large body mule deer at about 100 yards. This animal dropped like it was hit with a hammer. Shot placement is a must again is it left a large hole.

i have only come across those at dicks, satisfied with the 295 grain i stuck with them, but the 223 looks mean. I am curious about bullet recovery as some one mentioned shot placement. a friend hit a button buck in the shoulder with a 245 grain backed by 130gr and we recovered the bullet.... in about 8 grain increments from a totally destroyed offside shoulder. congrats on the deer

I learned real quick with any of the inline mag. guns to stay off the shoulder as it tears them up real bad.

I imagine that to be the case with most bullets over 200gr. when hitting big shoulder bones.Gotta try for the vitals, but most times in the woods your bullet hits many twigs along the path.Good shooting Nulle.;) Ken.
