Wanted to get my 222 a new trigger and since I had some Cabela's points decided to try an LV-1 manufactured by http://www.riflebasix.com/
Have never played with a rifle trigger before and was a little apprehensive due to the "safety" issue. Turns out it really wasn't that big of a deal. The process took about 25 minutes. It didn't help when I forgot how to put the bolt stop and safety back together. :D Broke down my 308 and used that as my guide.
From the instructions sheet, Rifle Basix seems to assume that you have a photographic memory of how all the parts fit together. They could do a better job in the photo illustrations department for beginners like myself.
The trigger is listed at being factory-set to break at 10-12oz and this one consistently breaks at 15oz via my Lyman digital gauge. http://www.midwayusa.com/rewriteaproduct/220725
After the install, I bump tested the rifle and shut the bolt quickly as if I was trying to get back on a groundhog after missing twice already (Btw, the bolt handle didn't fall off. ;) ) There were no issues with the firing pin dropping.
Can't wait to get it to the range and it should help to improve accuracy. If this trigger works out, I'll be adding an LV-1 to my 22-250 and and an L-1 to the 308.
