These shooing sticks work quite well,I use fiberglass chimney
sweep rods. They have brass fittings that screww together.I use them for kneeling and they unscrew to allow for shooting in the prone position.I used 5/32"stainless steel welding rod that I shaped to make the craddle and used "auto vaccum line" to cover the steel.I notched the end of the rod so the craddle would fit snug and then I set it in place using an apoxy. They are 36" - 39" in length and from 7" - 11" for prone.I carry one even though I have a bi pod because often the snow drifts are like moggles and you need to kneel.Thier light and and easy to carry around.
