1952 Jeep CJ3B

Well Grandad isn't doing to well so I bought his old Army Jeep from him. He restored it many years ago but the last few years it has been sitting in the weather unprotected so It needs some work, but it is still in pretty good shape. I bought it because it belonged to Pop and I wanted to keep it in the family. He wanted to sell it because he can't use it anymore. Also I have quite a few pictures of Pop and my Son (his GREAT Grandson) in the jeep together. Pop used to take My son for rides in the Jeep Deep into enemy Territory and fought many, many wars against the Japanese and Germans that lived in the woods on the neighbors Farm. LOL......I plan do tinker with the Jeep and restore it to her Former glory and keep it for my Son to have when he gets old enough to respect something like this. Here are a few pictures of her now

I used to have a '55 Wlly's P/U that was restored. I literally started my business out of it. I sold it when I moved on to bigger and better big trucks for the work. I wish I would have just parked it to play with later because those are hard to find in good shape too.

Just FYI, there is a place out here in Hayward, California called Archer Brothers Jeep that had every stinkin' part you could ever imagine for ANY Jeep vehicle. I spent some good dollars there! I'll check to see if they're online or still around. They were a wealth of knowledge too.

EDIT: Yep, looks like they're still around. Just do a search for "Archer Brothers Jeep" and they'll be right there on top. Lots of other resources too. Have fun with that thing!

Wow Madman, now thats one cool jeep. Is that a siren on the passenger fender? Does it have the colored driving lights that are half blocked off? military tires? Does it have three gear shift levers, 1-transmission, 2 -2wd and 4wd, and 3 -high and low range? 6 or 12 volt system? No doubt that thing will climb a tree! my first jeep was a 54 wagon, then a 60 jeep truck and those guys had some metal in them. later a 64 cj then 70 cj 74 cj then a cherokee and now the rubicon.

It's progress Fabs, "fun and simple" is for people with common sense, whereas "complex and proprietary" means they make more money off it.

I agree with you though, wish alot more fun and simple was around :/
