He is beautiful Nulle, I suggest you keep that little sweetie...
well here is my latest news...My guy came home two days ago with a gorgeous chocolate lab about three years old we figure..we know a little about him as he has lived 4 doors down. The woman there has not been the best pet owner...my guy found the dog three times wondering the streets. One of those occasions she was out of town for a week and said she arranged for a friend to care for the dog. The friend never came by, we tracked her down in Canada, she gave us the friends number and he didn't know anything about taking care of the dog...ok we kept it till she came back..my guy told her at that time if he ever found the dog out again, she wasn't getting it back..move forward until two days ago, dog is sitting on the busiest highway in Lauderdale, my guy calls it it comes. We call my son who has wanted a lab for awhile..so now my boy has a beautiful new chocolate.
Now story number two: My huckelberry as you know is my pride and joy, some guy who had his litter mate called last week and asked if we would breed him as he lost his dog by a roaming pit, can you imagine? So now I guess its in the works...we are getting another puppy.....Help!!!!!!

Sounds cool to me lmao and I don't think I would mention where the lab went to the owner if I were you or she will probably raise all kinds of stink about it.

well here is latest, we all went to the range last night and he brought the lab...of course he got very excited by all the noise, I gave him his ball at the same time, so he would know that this place is a good thing, didnt appear gun shy at all, which was great....I set up one of those camo folding canvas chairs, you know which ones I mean...and sat down with his leash in one hand...my son started to go over to the range master and the dog got all excited and bolted after him...well obviously I didnt have a firm grip on him, so the next thing I know I get pulled over and brace myself with my left hand, big mistake, talk about road burn, knee, left hand, left arm basically left side is chewed up...not a good night in all.....but hey I am tough couldnt cry around all those guys:(

Val,

Don't feel bad, Nitro almost gave me rope burn all over my hands the other day while he was trying to run down a kid. I was using one of those coil leashes that let the dog run and I had a bumper in the same hand as the leash. Nitro took off after this kid and I couldn't reach the stop button on the leash, so I grabbed the cord with my left hand. That was brilliant. Should have dropped the bumper instead. Lesson learned.

In case you didn't already notice this, labs have a lot more power than pointers and setters.

Thats for sure about the power, my lab is like a bull in a china shop, bulky, meaty and a bunch of muscle to be reckoned with...every time I play with my lab I end up getting hurt. The pointers on the other hand are light and graceful...I liken them to a gazelle...and they are very careful around me....totally two different animals

Bin there done that...i'm sure to do it again soon with Chevy.

Actually I'm starting to think if the 'little' bugger takes off on my he's just gonna drag me to where ever he wants to go, won't be no stoppin him until I've got him trained, specially if he has half the power his mom has since he's already huge...lol

This puppy was adopted and in an Update my investigation has shown this puppy was "dumped" by the side of the road and on top of that I have the name of the person who did it.
I am in the process of fileing charges and a warrant will be issued for this ass!

Nothing like good news to start the morning. I was watching a show where game wardens found a dead dog at sea wrapped up in a plastic bag. I truly hope the dog was dead before they threw it into the water. Otherwise, those are some sick people that need to be buried at sea too.
