I am lookin to find a belt or belt slide for my brother that hols 30-30 shells, however almost everything out there states "for 30/06 and similar shells" Will this work for 30-30 Win? Been a long time ince I have even looked at a 30/06 and am having a brain fart this morning anyway.

Hi OlBoy,
Now haveyou thought about getting him a belt meant for the .410 shotgun cartridges?
Most I have seen have those elasticated loops and they hold the 30-30 shells rather nicely thankyou :p ;) I use one for that and .303 shells.
Hope that helps some.

Yes, the 30-06 belts will work for a 30-30. At least the black elastic style belts will. Don't know for sure about the expensive leather belts as they may be more picky on what they'll hold.

Yeah I was looking at the leather the elastic stuff dont tend to last a whole hunting season here because of the humidity etc.

Brass size on your .30-06springfield runs .441 inches at the neck to .473 at the base
Brass size on your .30-30win runs .401 inches at the neck to .422 at the base
Thought maybe those numbers would help. You can check the numbers out plus more reloading details at www.ammoguide.com
