I am guessing that it is a water tank or gas tank for outside the house, but there are a lot of specifics missing on the request. Could it be an aquarium tank big enough for Jaws.

I'm going to make a pit blind. But I have already found a tank that will work. 8' X 30'. And it's only about 15 miles away.

I would be interested in how you make that. I do a decent amount of waterfowling and find that pit blinds are the best. Problem is that I do not have a farmer that will let me put a pit blind in yet. Second problem is that I do not have any idea how to make one even though I have hunted out of them before.

Well land wasn't a problem. My uncle has a 1500 acre farm that borders shiloh national military park and the tennessee river. Plus he likes waterfowlin as much as i do. As for how to make it i'm not sure. I just started waterfowlin last season. but he said i would come in handy because i could weld. but i send pictures once we get it done. we're gonna run out of time if we dont get a move on it. the hole is dug and the food is palnted. but the tank is not on the property yet.

I wish I had access to the land you guys are hunting on. If you have only hunted waterfowl for a year, you will be in for a treat with the pit blind. What food will you guys be hunting over? Where will the blind be? I have hunted out of put blinds twice. Once over a pond to shoot ducks, and another time in the middle of a cut cornfield to hunt geese and ducks. Both blinds were awesome.

See if you can take pics as you work on the blind. I am really interested in how you guys are making this thing.

we planted BioMaxx. It's not doing worth a crap. We're in the middle of a drought and a heat wave. We're about to put out some millet. The feild where the pit is going to be was a couple hundred acre soybean feild tha had about a 2 acre low spot in the middle. Since the end of last season we've gotten rid of all the soybeans and planted timber (nothing is over 2' tall yet. Plus we made it about a 5 acre low spot. But unless the back water is out the hole is never over knee deep. But the duck hunting is on the back burner. Every 1st weekend of September we put on a big dove shoot. We'll feed around 150 people and 50-100 will hunt. We've got the doves like crazy right now. We've got between 35-50 acres planted in sunflower. So that'll be fun then it's off to the races on getting the pit in the ground and stopping all our water pipes up.

Now that sounds like some great hunting. Do you hunt professionally, or guide professionally?

I need to get a setup like you have.

WELL WE ARE HOPING TO BE ABLE TO DO GUIDED HUNTS WITHIN THE NEXT 5 - 10 YEARS. I'VE NEVER KILLED ANYTHING WITH HORNS WORTH MOUNTING BUT I KILL ALOT OF ANIMALS. I'LD LIKE TO HUNT MORE FOR QUALITY BUT WHEN YOU EAT AS MUCH VENISON AS I DO YOU SETTLE FOR QUANITY. ABOUT GUIDING, RIGHT NOW I'M GOING BACK TO SCHOOL TO BE AN RN. THEN I'LL HAVE A MORE FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE THAT WILL BE GEARED TOWARD HUNTING SEASON, SO THAT WILL LEAD TO MORE TIME IN THE WOODS OR WATER. DREAM IS TO BE ON TV ON SUNDAY MORNINGS GOING AFTER DEER, DUCK, OR TURKEY, OR WORKING MY POINTER. WHICH I'M ONLY 23 SO I THINK I GOTTA ENOUGH TIME TO ACCOMPLISH THAT.

The whole dream part about the being on TV on Sunday is okay, but you probably don't know exactly how those shows are filmed. A lot of those shows are done over planted birds or on game preserves because you just do not have that much time in a single year to make all those films, especially if you throw in a couple of bad hunting days in there (i.e., where you do not get anything).

These guys kill bucks almost every year that you and I might kill once a year if we are lucky.
