Looking for anyones pet loads for a 45 ACP. Right now I'm shooting 5gr. UNI under 230grLRN.

That's a pretty good load right there.
You might get a bit less soot by changing to AA-5, Nitro 100, Clays, Universal Clays, TiteGroup or Solo 1000. Ramshot True Blue is also said to be great, but I haven't tried that one.

Rumluver,
My favorite .45 ACP load is the Lyman #452460 200 grain SWC, cast hard by quenching ahead of 5.0 grains of Red Dot, 5.0 grains of 700X or 6.8 grains of Unique.

I forgot to add that I also use 4gr of Bullseye behind a 230LRN both are accurate loads in my pistols.
I use 200 grain wadcutters more than any other bullet.
All the powders metioned will work well. Another one you don't hear about much is WST (Winchester Super Target). My pistol absolutely loves the stuff.
For a wadcutter load with WST, something between 4 and 5 grains will do nicely, depending on the spring you have in your pistol.

Another vote for Win Super Target WST. I shoot both 200 and 230 gr Precision RN bullets. 4.2 gr WST with the 230 and 4.8 WST for the 200. Both accurate and make major power factors if shooting competitively.
For a sweet soft load, try 4.2 WST with the 200 gr bullet.

I use 200 cast RNFP over 5.0 gr of Titegroup. The 205 gr bearcreek moly-coated cast bullets work well with this load and no leading, too.
