For coons, skunk, possum Ive fooled a few mink with cheap tuna...
Long before I would use tuna bullheads, suckers ect would my choice..
Used to hit up the bait shop to store away there dead minnows for me during late season,,,
Cat food works well also, pussn boots seafood buffet. Cheap and usually comes with or find a lid to fit the can...

Smart coon if there is such a thing then sure... If your after coon use a 220 bucket set with a cotton ball with Hardcore coon lure on it..A few feathers in the back of the bucket and you will kill your smart coon..
Ive even gone one step further with the cotton ball/lure I attatch a film canister in the bottom of the pail and put the cotton ball with the lure on it in the canister. It not only saves time at sets but saves on evaporation of the lure..
Being a taxidermist/ duck hunter I save all my duck and goose oil glands and use them mixed with lanolin grease to make a killer mink/coon lure..

bud, some of those grandaddy boar coons are as smart as coyotes, its nearly impossible to catch an old coon who has excaped from traps, they dug up my dirt holes and found how to destroy my cubbies ,2 years ago,i thought it was people then i saw coon tracks, talk to coon hunting people who have dogs, they will tell ya how smart an old coon can be.but any way, would a cotton ball dipped in the tuna fish juice work to

A word of caution---we in Minnesota can use 220s on land, but many states do not allow it.Please check your regulations on body grippers, before setting a trap.

Killed many in my 40 years of trapping, still aint met a coon that was "to" smart .
If they are giveing ya trouble with dirt holes use tubes.
A for the bucket set yep Id check the laws < that goes usually without saying..One should always read the synopsis....
Im sure tuna would work but ya wont find a better lure than hardcore..
