A fairly sturdy and reliable gun, but don't get your hopes up on having a tack driver, although the accuracy they have is well qualified for a big game hunter, under 2" consistently, usually hitting about 1 1/2". Get lucky and you might get a rifle that will shoot MOA w/ a good load it likes, but if you aren't in the game for paper shooting this is a great rifle. 30-06 is a great cartridge to go along with it :)

I had a Weatherby Vanguard 30-06 yaers ago I believe it was a series 2 with a walnut stock ans ebony forend cap. It was a hell of a shooter and realy reliaby many deer killed and no problems at all. It liked shooting 165gr+ bullets never grouped real well with anything lighter. Kick myself for selling it when I did should of kept it.

Thanks for the input on the rifle guys. I got one in a stainless/synthetic w/ a 24 inch barrel and have yet to get it out. I came with a MOA target but that only (in my mind) means that it is capable but is it consistent? I have to sit down at the bench and get some loads going. I still have to get a scope as well. I will post back the results when I figure her out. Esox357.
