There sure is, but you can't possibly see it all in a day. There's the Buffalo Bill Show wing, the Charley Russell art wing..oh, and a few guns <grin>.

Fabulous.

We went there a couple years ago and, Rocky's right, I doubt you could really see it in one day. We were there for a good 6 hours and didn't really get to see everything. Well worth the visit, though.

You will be there in time for the Hells Angles run = that should be fun NOT ! Be careful.

Thanks for the heads-up Nulle, which dates would this rally land on ?

I think we'll try to take a few hours anyway to stop and give it a look. Thanks for the pointers.

I hope the dust settles out there by the time I'm there, September 17th.

Nulle, good luck with your own rally out your way.

I was there during the start of the Hells Angels confab. They were treating ALL with respect & consideration. That might possibly be because of the 250+ WY cops there, along with the FBI-US Marshals, but I think not.
I think the Hells Angels are a much different group of people than they were 30-40 years ago. I met one at my RV park/motel complex who was a surgeon and saw another at the Cody Wal-Mart parking lot chewing out 4 WY state troopers who was getting big apologies from them for harassing him over BS. He was a lawyer from Vegas and proved it to them. The people around who saw the stop and patdown actually cheered when he started in on the staties. He demanded and got an apology from them! Rightfully so in my opinion. It was a high dollar police saturation effort over nothing.
I got the impression they were told to fly the flag and flex their muscles to show who was da boss!

Cody locals & shop people were apologizing to the Bikers, saying they DID NOT ask for all the cops. I heard several locals actually tell the cops to go back to where they came from.
I live just outside of Douglas, and one of my friends gal manages a conveniance store near I-25. She said they & bikers in general were more respectfull of her & her clerks than most other tourists. Go figure.
