What is the best insect repellant you use?

Deet 100 %

Just a dab will do ya like hairgel.

Don't really think anything else works.

Deet is the best. Also if you are in a position that you can't get store bought insect repelant, Sassafrass leaves, mashed up and rubbed vigorously on the skin works very well also

Make ya a small campfire and drop a few cow patties on it that are mostly dry but maybe still a little wet on the inside. The smoke will drive 'em off better than anything I know of.

^Yeah, the smoke from that would probably drive me off as well... :D

100% deet works well, but you can get sick from it.

Like your idea GoodOlBoy but do you think carrying the fire with me in a bucket and using deer droppings instead of cow piles will work?

This spring when I was in Quebec I put to much reliance on the new Thermacell, well , it didn't work in Quebec, it might here in U.S. where there's about 10 % of bugs as there are in the Quebec region I was in, but I back up and punted, and used Deep Woods Off with DEET, and Cutter's with DEET.
